Intern Demand Forecasting

Job Description

Objective of the internship is to organize and perform a proof of concept for demand forecasting using advanced statistics/Artificial intelligence to create a demand driven sales forecast for the out of home channel for a market in Europe.

1) Establish a statistical, diagnostics model for short term sales drivers

  • Hypotheses on sales drivers
  • Collect, structure and clean data
  • Diagnose sales drivers (correlations)

2) Set up a predictive analytics model for Short & Midterm demand forecasting

3) Measure Forecast accuracy & efficiency improvements

This role will work with the local and central supply chain, sales and IT teams. And will report to the Global IBP manager.

  • Be currently enrolled in a University, following a master’s degree in Mathematics, Operations, Econometrics and/or Supply chain.
  • Have outstanding results/grades in study

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed

Additional Information

Only master students still registered at university (WO) during the whole internship period will be considered. An online assessment is part of the selection process.

The monthly internship allowance is € 500,- for a WO student, based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek. The internship starts per August/September 2021. You are available for 4-5 days per week for a period of 4-6 months.
